Otus – bringing together the right skills to meet the client’s needs
A feature of the business is to incorporate industry expertise in particular from former C-suite directors in hands-on client-facing mode. How does this work in practice? Here are a couple of examples:
Vacalians - Travel sector, France
Our client, Vacalians of France, bought a UK subsidiary of Wyndham of the US. We involved three Special Advisors on this project. The introduction to Vacalians came from Remy Gancel, based in Paris. Vacalians was looking to expand internationally into a market well known to Richard Atkinson. The target identified was owned by a company known to Richard Carrick, who established the first contact. And the deal was executed in conjunction with an investment bank based in Paris.
London City Airport - Airport sector, UK
Our client, Public Sector Pension Plan of Canada, was considering an investment in London City Airport. It already had a full suite of advisors when we were asked to join the project to provide a top-level overview. We involved two Special Advisors on this project: Richard Gooding OBE, who was the immediate predecessor as CEO of the airport and Roger Maynard who was previously the chairman of the largest operator at the airport.
