Richard Finston is a specialist mergers and acquisitions execution 
            banker who is a Consultant to Otus.
            From 1999 to 2005, Richard worked at Deutsche Bank in London, where 
            he was a Director in the M&A department.
            He led many significant transactions at Deutsche including advising 
            Blackstone on the £564m take-private acquisition of NHP care homes, 
            advising OMV on the €1.5bn acquisition of Petrom of Romania, 
            advising Thales on the £104m disposal of Thales GeoSolutions and 
            advising Punch on the £1.1bn acquisition of Pubmaster.
            He advised on a number of transactions for BP, including the 
            disposals of North Sea assets (£100m), and refinery and service 
            stations assets (£223m and £90m). He also worked on BP’s $2bn 
            disposal of its interests in Veba Oil and Gas and the €6.5bn 
            acquisition of Veba from E.on. He also worked on the €5.2bn 
            take-private of Jefferson Smurfit by Madison Dearborn and the £709m 
            take-private of BPT by DBREM and Grainger.
            Before joining Deutsche, Richard worked closely with Simon Read and 
            Andrew Boshoff as a member of the transport team at DrKW, where he 
            was part of the team advising Swissair on its acquisition of a stake 
            in SAA and advising the Polish government on privatisation of LOT 
            Polish Airlines.
            Richard joined DrKW in September 1990 and gained a broad experience 
            of origination and execution roles across a variety of sectors and 
            markets, including significant public company work comprising both 
            M&A and equity issuance. 
            Richard has a degree from the Cambridge University and was an 
            Oppidan scholar at Eton College.
